This is an excellent game for helping children with basic maths skills and is fun for all ages. Very compulsive. The aim is to cover all the numbers in accordance with the throw of the dice.
Tilt the box forward to uncover all the numbers. Players in turn throw both dice and cover one or more numbers to the value of the throw, e.g. 9 may be used to cover numbers 1 and 8, 2 and 7, 3 and 6, 4 and 5, or any three or more numbers totaling 9. When the numbers remaining uncovered do not total more than 6, only one dice is thrown. When the number thrown does not enable any more numbers to be covered the score is closed and the next player takes his turn.
Score at the end of each turn by directly reading the numbers remaining uncovered, e.g. 1,5 and 8 gives a score of 158, NOT 14. A game may consist of any agreed number of rounds and the winner is the player having the lowest total score. A player who covers all the numbers immediately becomes the winner. In the event of a tie, the players concerned play one more round.
Alternative Rules for Two Players
The first player throws the dice once only and covers the numbers as in the rules above. The second player then throws the dice once only and UNCOVERS as many numbers covered by the first player as possible. Play continues with each player throwing the dice in turn until the first player has covered all the numbers and won or the second player has uncovered all the numbers and won.
Familiarity with the game will enable variations of the above rules to be made.
