A deduction game for 2 players, aged 9 and up.
1888 - Whitechapel, London. The night is covering the alleyways with a dark cloak, leaving only a few areas lit by the gaslights. Eight investigators have come together to track down Mr. Jack, still at large. Mr. Jack is very clever, though: he is pretending to be one of them ....
Mr. Jack is an asymetric game for two players. Each player has a different aim. One takes the role of the Detective, the other Mr. Jack. The Detective must unmask Mr. Jack's cover and then catch him. Mr. Jack will try to use the cover of darkness to slip away while doing his best to slow down the investigation.
Using successive deductions, by moving characters in and out of the darkness, the Detective will reduce the number of suspects and tighten the noose around Mr. Jack. Will he capture Mr. Jack before the end of the eight turn?
8 character cards with a green back, picturing one character each, together with symbols summing up the movement and special ability.
8 alibi cards, with a red back, picturing one character each.
1 game board featuring the Whitechapel district and divided into hexagonal areas (or hexes). The right section of the board features a round counter section.
2 police cordon tokens.
1 round counter token.
2 covered manhole tiles.
6 lit gaslight tiles (4 tiles that are numbered from 1 to 4 and 2 tiles without numbers).
Mr. Jack is a tense game of light and darkness. A best seller, it can be played by all.
